Temporary school pavilion, Troinex

The need to create additional school premises and to transform the existing primary school in the future led to the construction of this new temporary school pavilion.

Located very close to the current school and on the site of the former sports field, the pavilion blends in perfectly with its surroundings. The classrooms are arranged over the three floors of the building and face away from the current school, in order to minimise disruption from the upcoming construction work. The gymnasium is located above the support room, the management office and the teachers’ room to limit disruption to lessons. The school pavilion is built using a prefabricated wooden construction method and several modular elements measuring approximately 2.50 m wide, 8.50 m long and 3 m high, assembled on site. The structure of these modules is made of wood frames and load-bearing panels. The exterior of the thermal envelope is coated with natural wood cladding with a pre-patinated stain.
